The Section Head – Commercial National Accounts is responsible for managing and driving the company’s strategic relationships with large national-level customers such as key hospital chains, government health programs, large corporate clients, and major distributors. This role focuses on maximizing sales, ensuring favorable contract terms, and enhancing long-term partnerships to achieve business growth and secure market share. The position leads a dedicated national accounts team, executing targeted commercial strategies aligned with the company’s overall commercial goals and collaborating closely with sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance functions.

Job Responsibility and key Decisions

National Accounts Strategy and Execution

Develop and implement comprehensive national accounts strategies to maximize revenue and market penetration.

Identify and prioritize key accounts based on potential and strategic fit.

Relationship and Contract Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and decisionmakers within national accounts.

Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, rebates, and service agreements to secure favorable terms.

Sales Target Achievement

Drive achievement of sales targets and profitability within the national accounts portfolio.

Monitor and analyze account performance and market dynamics regularly.

Team Leadership and Development

Lead the national accounts team, ensuring motivation, training, and clear goalsetting.

Develop succession plans and enhance team capabilities.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

Work closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, and regulatory teams to align strategies and ensure timely delivery.

Collaborate with regional sales teams to leverage broader customer insights.

Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis

Monitor competitor activities, tender opportunities, and regulatory changes affecting national accounts.

Use insights to adapt strategies and maintain competitive advantage.

Manage risks related to pricing, contract terms, and customer satisfaction.
