Role Purpose

Team Manager-MFG-DP(Fill Finish)-Med Devices, Packaging Ops and Visual Inspection-Packaging Ops: Manages and oversees packing operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to regulatory requirements. Responsible for coordinating packing activities, including line clearance, labeling, and packaging material management. Collaborates closely with quality assurance to maintain product integrity and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Implements improvements in packing processes to optimize throughput and minimize downtime, supporting seamless production and delivery of pharmaceutical products.

Job Responsibility and key Decisions

Ownership of Packaging Operations

a. Oversee endtoend packaging processes, ensuring smooth execution from line clearance to final packaging.

b. Ensure accuracy and compliance in packaging, labelling, and serialization per regulatory and customer requirements.

c. Manage packaging material inventory, ensuring availability while preventing excess stock or shortages.

Leadership Team Management

a. Lead and mentor a highperforming packaging team, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to best practices.

b. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement within the packaging function.

c. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team competencies and regulatory awareness.

Compliance, Documentation Regulatory Adherence

a. Ensure full compliance with GMP, FDA, EMA, and other global regulatory requirements for packaging operations.

b. Prepare, review, and approve Standard Operating Procedures SOPs, batch records, and packaging protocols.

c. Support internal and external audits, addressing findings and implementing corrective actions.

Process Optimization Efficiency Improvement

a. Implement process enhancements to improve packaging throughput and reduce material wastage.

b. Monitor and analyse packaging line efficiency, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

c. Drive lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.

Equipment Facility Management

a. Oversee packaging equipment operation, qualification, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

b. Ensure regular calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of packaging machinery.

c. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to introduce new technologies and enhance automation.

CrossFunctional Collaboration Stakeholder Management

a. Act as the key interface between manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and regulatory teams to align packaging objectives with overall business goals.

b. Work closely with QA and validation teams to ensure packaging processes meet regulatory standards.

c. Engage with external vendors and suppliers to ensure packaging materials meet quality and compliance requirements.
