Company Overview

Role Purpose

To support continuous improvement initiatives within Insulin Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing by driving efficiency, quality, and operational excellence. The role involves executing routine production activities while actively identifying and implementing improvements in manufacturing processes, compliance, documentation, and equipment reliability. The team member plays a key role in supporting Lean manufacturing and reducing process variability within the insulin production value stream.

Job Responsibility and key Decisions

Execute daytoday production activities in insulin DS manufacturing as per GMP and SOPs

Identify process inefficiencies or bottlenecks and propose practical improvement ideas

Support the implementation of Lean and CI tools e.g., 5S, visual controls, standardized work on the shop floor

Track and report process KPIs such as OEE, yield, cycle time, and downtime for analysis

Assist in conducting RCA for process deviations, failures, or performance issues

Support the development and execution of CAPAs to improve reliability and compliance

Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and CI teams to implement improvements

Maintain manufacturing documentation with accuracy and in compliance with GDP standards

Participate in continuous improvement projects related to EHS, quality, efficiency, and digitalization

Assist in training fellow operators and new team members on improved processes and best practices

Provide input during Gemba walks, CI meetings, and performance review huddles

Identify and escalate process deviations or nonconformities to team leads or QA

Decide and act on daytoday improvements in workplace organization e.g., 5S initiatives

Recommend improvements in SOPs, batch record documentation, or training processes

Prioritize CI tasks and improvement actions based on production impact and safetycompliance risk

Participate in decisionmaking regarding corrective actions and prevention plans for recurring issues
