Job Responsibility and key Decisions

The Function Head IT is responsible for leading the organizations technology strategy, infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives. This role ensures that IT operations align with business goals, deliver value, and support innovation, scalability, and compliance across Biocon Biologics.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with organizational objectives.

Lead digital transformation initiatives to modernize legacy systems and enhance operational efficiency.

Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and their potential business impact.

Enterprise Systems Infrastructure

Oversee the management and optimization of enterprise applications e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors, MES, LIMS, QMS.

Ensure robust IT infrastructure, including data centers, cloud services, networks, and enduser computing.

Manage system integrations and ensure seamless interoperability across platforms.

Governance, Risk Compliance

Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

Lead cybersecurity strategy and incident response planning.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, and industry regulations e.g., SOX, GDPR.

IT Operations Service Delivery

Oversee IT service management, including helpdesk, application support, and infrastructure services.

Monitor performance metrics and service levels to ensure highquality delivery and user satisfaction.

Drive continuous improvement and automation in IT operations.

Vendor Partner Management

Evaluate, select, and manage technology vendors and service providers.

Negotiate contracts and ensure value delivery from external partners.

Foster strategic relationships to support longterm IT goals.

Team Leadership Development

Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary IT team across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support.

Build a highperformance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and innovation.

Plan and manage IT staffing, training, and career development.

Budgeting Financial Management

Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring costeffectiveness and alignment with strategic priorities.

Track IT investments and ROI across projects and initiatives.
